2012 Endeavour Awards Open for Applications

Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Greg Moriarty, is pleased to invite Indonesian scholars, researchers and professionals to apply for the 2012 Endeavour Awards.

The Endeavour Awards is an Australian Government internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Awards are also available for Australians to do the same abroad.

“The Endeavour Awards provide for the exchange of knowledge, the strengthening of research and professional linkages between Australia and Indonesia and the enhancement of professional careers in their chosen field,” said Ambassador Moriarty.

“Since 2007, Indonesian Endeavour Award recipients have been going to Australia where they have had the opportunity to not only develop their research and professional skills but also to experience Australian culture and make lifelong friendships that transcend our national borders,” adds Ambassador Moriarty.

The Endeavour Awards consists of Endeavour Postgraduate Awards, Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships, Endeavour Research Fellowships, Endeavour Executive Awards and Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards.

“We certainly hope that there will be more Indonesians receiving the awards in 2012,” said Ambassador Moriarty.

Applications for the 2012 Endeavour Awards close on 30 June 2011. Further information can be obtained from the website: www.endeavour.deewr.gov.au

The Endeavour Awards program is part of the Australia Awards initiative which also includes the Australian Leadership Awards and Australian Development Scholarships. The website www.AustraliaAwards.gov.au provides information about all the three Australian Government Scholarships schemes.
