Australian Fashion Designs Showcased in Indonesian Fashion Week 2016

Australian modest wear label, Integrity has returned to Jakarta to showcase its latest ready-to-wear collection at Indonesian Fashion Week 2016.

Sisters, Howayda Moussa and Hanadi Chehab have developed Integrity from a small store to a flagship store in the Bankstown fashion district in Sydney.

Integrity is one of the many Australian fashion labels that have found an overseas market and proved popular at Jakarta Islamic Fashion Week 2015.

To mark Australia participation in Indonesia Fashion Week 2016, Integrity and Sally Koeswanto, who studied fashion design in Sydney, together presented their collections in a mini runway show at a young creative entrepreneur night at the residence of the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia on Friday. The event provided a platform for other talented and innovative Indonesian entrepreneurs who have connections to Australia. Pong Me! Lounge and Anomali coffee which have links to Australian alumni, and also Ffrash, which creates home interior products made from trash.

Around 40 per cent of the top Indonesian fashion designers have studied at Australian design schools.
