Rod Brazier
Mr Brazier was most recently Deputy Secretary responsible for development and multilateral issues in the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
He has previously served overseas as High Commissioner to Solomon Islands.
In Canberra, he led the International Policy division in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and has held a range of other senior positions across the Australian public service.
He was Country Representative for The Asia Foundation in Cambodia and also worked for The Asia Foundation in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Mr Brazier holds a Master of Arts, Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) (Asian Studies), Griffith University.
Mr Brazier speaks fluent Indonesian. In 1990, he spent six months at Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar, and lived with an Indonesian host family.
