Education Support Scholarship IKAMA SURYA 2006
The Australian Education Centre (AEC) and the Australian Alumni Association Surabaya (IKAMA SURYA) will again provide scholarships to elementary students in Surabaya.
The scholarships, which have been running for the last five years, provide sponsorship to elementary school students from grade four to six. In 2006, the scholarships will be given to 43 students who have been selected through interview and other processes.
Each student will receive a one year scholarship to support their education totalling
IDR500 thousand. The funds for the scholarship have been raised by the IKAMA Surya from its members and sponsors who are interested in supporting the compulsory education system for elementary students.
The scholarship awardees are expected to maintain their academic achievement in order to be eligible for further scholarships.

The sponsors will have an opportunity to meet their sponsored students with their parents. There will be some performances by students. This activity is a real contribution from Australian alumni to Indonesian youth.
