Advance Career Workshop - Discuss Exciting Career Options with Australian and Indonesian Experts
Australian Education Centre is hosting an Advance Career Workshop with Australian and Indonesian experts, including renowned public figure Wimar Witoelar, on Saturday 30 August at the Four Seasons Hotel to discuss career options in some of Indonesia’s most exciting industries such as film and television, design and communications.
The workshop is designed to provide insights into the skills, postgraduate degrees, learning areas and personal attributes required for a career in some of Indonesia’s leading industries.
Human resource experts Junius Rumindei (JCI Executive Search International) and Eddy Tjahja (Auditsi Executive Search and Founder of JobsDB.com) will also be providing tips and advice on the types of skills employers are increasingly seeking that cannot be gained through formal study.
Australian Counsellor for Education, Shannon Smith, said the job market is constantly evolving and employers are increasingly looking for people with postgraduate degrees and experience in living and working overseas.
“As the supply and demand for certain sets of skills and experiences fluctuate, individuals need to be flexible with their career choices and future directions,” he said.
“Actively managing your own career is vital in today’s competitive job market. This workshop will provide ideas on how to advance your career with an Australian degree,” said Dr Smith.
The workshop is free of charge and will be held on Saturday 30 August 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel from 13.00-18.40. Registration is required through email: [email protected] or on (021) 522 9675.
