Australian Mobile Content and Solutions Showcase

The Australian Embassy will hold its inaugural Australian Mobile Content and Solutions Showcase in Indonesia from 22 to 23 April at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.

This showcase aims to promote Australia’s unique strengths in mobile technology and innovation by introducing Australia’s leading mobile content and solutions providers to Indonesia’s telecommunications and mobile industry.

The showcase is proudly supported by Indonesian Mobile and Online Content Provider Association (IMOCA), MASTEL-Indonesian Information and Communications Technology Society (MASTEL), Indonesian Animation and Content Industry Association (AINAKI), Indonesian Digital Creative Industries Society (MIKTI) and Indonesian Telematics Software Association (ASPILUKI).

“This event is timely considering the telecommunications market is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. The showcase will provide a unique opportunity for best practice and information exchange in the dynamic telecommunications and mobile industry,” said Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Bill Farmer.

The event will showcase leading Australian mobile technology companies in the areas of content development, emergency warning, mobile infrastructure and infotainment services, security and authentication solutions, secured mobile online services, and mobile learning technology. The showcase will include delegates from BoxSentry, Ferntree Asia Pacific, Crewjo, Gambit Group, Unico Computer Systems and QPay.

Australia’s telecommunications market has a reputation for efficiency and competitiveness.

The digital content industry in Australia is a vibrant, fast-growing sector within the Australian economy, including mobile content industry. Australia is a significant exporter of digital content and digital services, particularly mobile content and eLearning products.

Competitive advantages of Australian products are low development costs, a long history of content development for international publishers, availability of quality post-production facilities, experience at overcoming the problems of distance in learning, large numbers of innovative small and medium sized enterprises, a skilled workforce and similar time zone to Asian markets.
