Australia Awards scholarship Alumni Grant Scheme launched

The Australian Government has launched an Alumni Grant Scheme to support Australia Awards alumni in Indonesia to build stronger and positive relationships between Indonesia and Australia.

This Alumni Grant Scheme will be provided for alumni of the Australia Awards scholarships across Indonesia.

The aim of the Grants Scheme is to contribute to capacity building, knowledge sharing and development activities among the large base of alumni of Australian education in Indonesia.

The successful applications will respectively receive up to a maximum of AUD 10,000.

“I’m very pleased to announce a new element of the Australia Awards scholarships which we hope will deepen the engagement between the Indonesian and Australian people,” said Greg Moriarty, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia.

“The Alumni Grants Scheme is available only for Australia Awards alumni. It will allow individuals or groups of alumni to access grant funding to enhance Indonesia’s development and build strong and positive relationships with Australia.”

“We are also looking to Australia Awards alumni to engage with the tens of thousands of privately-funded Australian alumni in Indonesia to tap into their skills, and experience towards building an alumni network.”

This grant contribution is also expected to improve conditions in local communities in Indonesia, to boost research programs at universities or education institutes and strengthen professional and institutional linkages between Indonesia and Australia.
