Weaving through Jakarta’s traffic or racing to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge are among the many adventures available on the new online game Next Door Land, which is now free to download.
Next Door Land is a multi-stage game where players are taken on a virtual journey through either Australia or Indonesia.
“Its’s a fun way for children in Australia and Indonesia to take a tour through their nearest neighbour and along the way learn a little about each other’s histories, traditions, cultures and mythology,” said Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Paul Grigson.
Next Door Land takes players on a unique virtual journey through Australia and Indonesia. Players can also learn to play the gamelan, surf near Perth, cook Indonesian dishes and play cricket in Adelaide.
Indonesia Public Policy Manager at Twitter, Agung Yudha said, “Next Door Land asks players to solve problems and compete against themselves using the available information. Games that entertain and engage players like this are effective eLearning tools.”
The game is now available on Google Play and App Store as well as on Rumah Belajar, the education portal of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.
