Australian expertise in screen production and design will be on show at a special screening of the film Gods of Egypt in Jakarta tonight where costume designer Liz Keogh Palmer, will be on hand to present her unique vision for the Hollywood blockbuster.
Known for her building fantastical costumes on a grand scale, Ms Keogh Palmer will explain her use of 3D, digital printing, and laser cutting to produce her designs.
While in Jakarta, Ms Keogh-Palmer will also share her experience and expertise with a number of design and fashion school and creative arts faculties.
Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Paul Grigson said Ms Keogh Palmer is part of the new generation of award-winning Australian costume designers who have made their mark in Hollywood.
Ms Keogh Palmer is also the creative talent behind custom design on Dark City and I, Robot. Whilst in Jakarta, she will hold lectures at ESMOD, Binus Northumbria School of Design and the Jakarta Arts Institute.
The film screening and lectures are part of the #AussieBanget campaign promoting the best of Australian lifestyle, creativity and innovation. It’s one of many great events being held around Indonesia with exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, catwalk shows and performances showcasing the best of Australian music, fashion, design and digital art.
