Two of Indonesia’s most prominent businesswomen shared their insights and experience at the Australian Embassy on Thursday 18 July as part of its Big Ideas seminar series.
Shinta Kamdani of Sintesa Group and 2019 Australian Alumni of the Year Noni Purnomo of Blue Bird Group discussed the opportunities and challenges they had faced throughout their careers.
Drawing on their extensive background in business, the speakers reflected on balancing their personal and professional lives, and how they have shaped their own organisations to support women to rise to the top.
“Australia champions gender equality and women’s empowerment both at home and overseas,” Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Gary Quinlan said.
The Women in Business seminar was held in partnership with the Australian Embassy’s Women in Leadership committee.
The Australian Embassy in Indonesia is committed to maximising the potential of all staff to achieve their full potential by providing an environment that is supportive, flexible and breaks down barriers women face in progressing their careers.
