Led by the Fijian Minister for Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Sakiasi Ditoka, the visit aimed to share knowledge and best practices between Fiji, Indonesia and Australia on disaster risk management, including to promote greater institutional links and peer-to-peer learning.

In Jakarta, the Minister and delegation met senior government officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Disaster Management Office (BNPB) and the Executive Director of ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance (AHA Centre).
