Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Penny Williams PSM, spoke to students and academics at Universitas Nasional (UNAS) in Jakarta as part of the Embassy’s #AussieBanget University Roadshow, hosted in partnership with the UNAS Centre for Australian Studies.

“It’s wonderful to be at Universitas Nasional for the #AussieBanget University Roadshow. These Roadshows are exciting opportunities for students to better understand, engage with and explore the Australia-Indonesia relationship,” said Ambassador Williams.

During the Roadshow, Dr Greta Nabbs-Keller, Associate Director Defence, Space & National Security at the University of Queensland, joined Indonesian experts, Dr Irma Indrayani, Head of Partnerships at UNAS, and Andrew Mantong, Researcher, Department of International Relations at CSIS, to discuss how Australia and Indonesia can encourage global cooperation in a multipolar world.

The Roadshow also included sessions on studying in Australia and the Australia Awards scholarships.

The #AussieBanget University Roadshow is visiting universities across Indonesia as part of the 75th anniversary celebration of Australia-Indonesia diplomatic relations. The Roadshows include thematic panel discussions featuring experts from Australia and Indonesia, presentations on Australia Awards scholarships and studying in Australia, and other issues, as well as several Australia-focused booths.
