Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Penny Williams PSM visited the newly established joint campus between Australia’s Deakin University and the UK’s Lancaster University in Bandung yesterday. Ambassador Williams met with the Inaugural Rector Designate of the Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI), Professor Greg Barton.
“Education is an integral part of Australia’s relationship with Indonesia. This innovative joint campus will strengthen our education partnership and ensure more Indonesian students can experience Australia’s world class education,” said Ambassador Williams.
The campus is set to offer five undergraduate programs: Business Analytics; Business Commerce & Management; Commerce, Accounting and Finance; Computer Science; Cyber Security & Computer Science.
All courses will be taught in English and will incorporate the best of Australian and UK teaching to equip graduates with the skills required to meet industry demands. Students will receive a dual undergraduate qualification from the two institutions.
“The campus is ready to welcome future leaders of Indonesia to benefit from the best of teaching and learning from Australia and UK delivered in Indonesia. This make quality international learning accessible to the many for whom spending years studying aboard is not currently possible,” said Professor Barton.
The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will be formally launched in February 2025.
