The Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, and the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Rod Brazier, officially launched the Australia Awards Short Course – Advancing Indonesia’s Sports Industry: Opportunities and Strategies for Growth today at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Jakarta.
The short course is designed to equip Indonesian sports professionals, policy makers, and industry actors with the knowledge and tools to strengthen the country’s sports industry through sustainable growth, innovation, and international collaboration.
“Australia and Indonesia share a deep friendship, and sport is a powerful way we connect,” said Australian Ambassador Rod Brazier. “We’re delighted to partner with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to share Australia’s world-class sports knowledge and systems.”
The program will be delivered in Australia by two highly regarded institutions: Melbourne Business School (MBS) and Central Queensland University (CQU).
Participants will travel to Melbourne, Canberra, and Brisbane, where they will engage with a wide range of Australian sports stakeholders and professionals.
While in Australia, participants will have the opportunity to visit Melbourne Olympic Park and proposed venues for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, offering valuable insights into world-class sports infrastructure and planning.
