Applications for the LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarships will open on 2 April 2026. These prestigious scholarships, offered through a collaboration between Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) and the Australian Government, are for Master’s study at Australian universities commencing in 2027.
The LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarships offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including pre-departure academic and English language preparation, and a range of networking, enrichment and professional development opportunities to support scholars before, during and after study in Australia. After graduating, scholars join the large community of impressive and influential Australian alumni in Indonesia.
“Our close partnership with LPDP reflects more than 70 years of education cooperation between Australia and Indonesia,” said Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Rod Brazier. “Through the LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarships, we are investing in Indonesia’s future leaders by providing access to world-class education, global networks, and the skills needed to drive meaningful and sustainable change.”
The LPDP-Australia Awards scholarships are open to Indonesians from diverse backgrounds. Those from equity target groups (including targeted provinces, women from disadvantaged backgrounds, and people with disability) are encouraged to apply.
The 2027 intake prioritises critical fields of study aligned with the President of Indonesia’s Asta Cita, including advanced materials and manufacturing, digitalisation (AI and semiconductors), down streaming and industrialisation, energy, food security, health, and maritime studies.
In preparation for the 2027 intake, LPDP and Australia Awards officials will host an online information session in April 2026. This session will provide prospective applicants with further information on the LPDP-Australia Awards scholarships and how to apply.
