Australian Scaleups Explore Partnerships to Advance Indonesia’s Climate Goals

Media Release

Tuesday, 23 June 2026

Australian tech scaleups showcased climate and sustainable tech solutions to support Indonesia’s goals towards net zero 2060 at the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026 in Jakarta this week.

The scaleups bring expertise in carbon accounting and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting, biodiversity intelligence, supply chain monitoring and optimization, as well as climate-centered payment systems.

“Australia and Indonesia are close neighbours, friends and partners, and the green energy transition is a priority for both countries. Under Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy and through KINETIK, the Australia–Indonesia Climate and Infrastructure Partnership, we have built a strong foundation for long-term cooperation,” said Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Rod Brazier.

While in Indonesia, the seven Australian tech scaleups are exploring partnership opportunities for sustainable growth and the net zero transition. Australia’s robust ESG standards and established expertise in carbon accounting, nature capital markets, and sustainability-linked finance will strengthen the path towards realizing these goals.

“Through Austrade’s Landing Pad program, Australia is aligning our capabilities and expertise with Indonesia’s national priorities to accelerate towards a sustainable transition. Australian tech scaleups are ready to respond to growing commercial opportunities with scalable, market-ready solutions,” said Head of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Southeast Asia, Catherine Gallagher.

This climate and sustainability tech cohort is Austrade’s 4th landing pad program in Indonesia. The Landing Pad program helps Australian technology companies and scaleups expand internationally through market advice, in-market experiences, connections to prospective customers, partners, regulators and system integrators and support to develop and validate market entry strategies.
