Australian Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia, Dr Justin Lee travels this week to Kupang, NTT to meet with senior political and business leaders, alumni and academics.
During his time in Kupang, Dr Lee will meet with NTT Vice Governor Benny Alexander Litelnoni and Kupang Bupati Ayub Titu Eki.
On Friday Dr Lee will travel to Desa Bone, Nekamese, NTT, to meet local beef farmers who are working with Australia's Promoting Rural Income through Support for Markets in Agriculture (PRISMA) program. Alongside its private-sector partner Pusat Kooperasi Unit Desa (PUSKUD), PRISMA is helping local farmers boost their herds by improving cattle feeding practices.
Eastern Indonesia, including NTT, remains a key focus of Australia's efforts in Indonesia. Of the 2,725 schools built by Australia and Indonesia in the past 10 years, 464 were in NTT including in Ruteng. The Australian Government remains committed to building better connections in business and investment, culture and education between Australia and Eastern Indonesia.
